[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As the smoke settles from the 4th of July weekend, we are beginning to learn more details about the Kaseya vulnerability disclosed over the weekend. According to news reports, the REvil cyber-criminal gang has offered a universal decryptor software key that would unscramble all machines affected by the Kaseya vulnerability for $70 million in cryptocurrency.

This is a prime example of why organizations need to be proactive in vulnerability scanning as well as having regular pentests and cyber risk assessments being conducted not only due to cybersecurity regulatory requirements, but to ensure their systems are backed up and protected from these types of attacks.
